Don't miss the return of a stunning celestial spectacle: the "kiss" between the moon and Saturn. The phenomenon, to take place high up in the sky on January 23, can even be seen with the naked eye, but to better admire the Lord of the Rings' details, we recommend using at least a good pair of binoculars. Absolutely unmissable!
As the UAI explains, the waxing moon is close to Saturn in the early evening hours of January 23, and the two celestial bodies can be seen in the constellation of Gemini (on the map of the sky of January 23, 2026 at around 7pm).
The waxing moon is just past the new moon phase on the 18th of the month, moving toward the first quarter, which is reached on January 26.
Don't miss it!
